Today, Google started taking orders for their newest creation, the Nexus One, that phone that in theory, could be the iPhone Killer. So what’s so great about this new phone that so many people think it has a chance to take on the king? First off lets talk about the processor in this bad boy. The Nexus one features a Qualcomm QSD 8250 1 GHz, a ONE GIGAHERTS PROCESSOR! The iPhone 3G[s] is stuck with a 833 mhz PowerVR SGX GPU under clocked to 600mhz. So for processing power the Nexus is a clear winner. Now as for RAM the iPhone 3G[s] got a boost of 256mb from the original 128 mb found in the iPhone 2G and 3G, which was a GREAT update and you rarely see an application crash, however the Nexus strikes again with a whopping 512MB of RAM, doubling the 3G[S]. Another awesome feature of the Nexus is the camera, which trumps just about any other smart phone out there, the Nexus includes a 5MP camera with auto focus and LED flash while the 3G[S] is stuck with a 3.0MP auto focus. Both phones have the ability to record video, the iPhone at up to 30 FPS and the Nexus as 20+ FPS. The screens are not too different the Nexus is .2 inches larger. So what do you think do you thinks Google’s phone will finally take down the iPhone? Or will Apple roll out the 4G with better features and an amped up processor? Only time will tell, but for now its really which system your more familiar with, the Nexus is about $100 (unlocked) more than the 3G[S], and it is of course, running Android. With Apple’s policies of taking months to review app updates and new submissions do you think many people will switch over to the Nexus? Or do you think Apple has learned from their mistakes and is working with developers to deal with the App Store mistakes?
I’m not sure how many of you who read this keep up with the newest phones, but I’m sure 90% of you know I’ve been a fan of the iPhone every since I bought a first gen iPod Touch then found out I could unlock the iPhone 2G for use with T-Mobile. And all the new phones have always looked pretty sweet, the Palm Pre, The T-Mobile G1 and now the Motorola Droid, but what would be my favorite to mess around with and use for a phone? For awhile its been the iPhone, I absolutely love it, it has thousands of applications, it has a great user base for hacking, and its powerful, but with the recent release of the droid my mind is starting to change. You see I am growing tired of Apples limitations, the fact that the iPhone has so much untapped potential because Apple does not allow it to be used the way WE want to use it. They don’t allow Flash, isn’t that the users decision to allow 3rd party software? How about how they run the App Store? They denied Google’s Google Voice app a few months ago which caused a HUGE problem and even got the FCC involved, well this new phone gives me some hope. After reading reviews about it and checking out the specs it looks like a really awesome phone, and running the Google Android OS is even more of a plus! So for now I’m sticking with my iPhone 3G (partly because the Droid can not be unlocked….yet). What do you think of it? What is your favorite phone?
Ahh internet its been awhile since I last made a blog post, and I know, I know, bad Aaron, bad! But…here is the new post! So, if you’ve talked to me in the past few days you probably know I’ve been having problems with my iPhone! Apparently it likes to wake up in recovery mode after being put to sleep at random times, NOT helpful when your waiting for texts or phone calls 
. So I really have no clue what I’m going to do, at the moment I’m restoring (again) to 3.1.2 and trying to get it to work, but I dont think it will do any good. In other news most of you know I’m a HUGE fan of SxePhil (from YouTube) he posted a video today (and a few tweets before) saying he’ll be leaving the station due to backstabbing and using, its terrible when you cant even trust your own friends. In other YouTube news all of my videos were removed from revenue sharing (meaning I dont get paid anymore), their cause was “You have not provided adequate documentation that you have the necessary rights to commercially use all the video material and music OR Advertisers on YouTube are currently looking to advertise against family safe content”.
Funny that all of my videos feature MY OWN content, no songs, just me on camera, and I do not even curse in my videos? Good fight Google, you may be a great company but your run by assholes, I mean seriously, the YouTube partners cant even contact YouTube if they have a problem, YouTube support SUCKS.

Sigh….isnt that a great title? You buy a $200 iPhone and render it useless? Well today I was running the 3.1.2 update (as I have for months) when I started getting the error a few others are getting (your iPhone is sleeping and boom it wont come back after you press the Sleep/Wake button). So after getting really tired of this I decided hey lets go back to 3.0.1 where I didnt have that problem, so I restore the firmware back, its working fine, then I decide…hmm maybe Winterboard was the problem in 3.1.2 so lets upgrade again! I upgrade, dont install Winterboard, and it works…for now. Now I start getting the problem again and this time it wont come back even after I hold Sleep/Wake and the home button (OH CRAP I think). I cant restore, I cant get it to come on, I’m in trouble 
. So after messing around for 2 hours I FINALLY got it to restore back to 3.1.2 and downgrade to 3.0.1. Was afraid I was really in trouble for awhile :S. Hows this post a day working out? Better than I was doing before right? ;D.
